Sweet Saturday Sunday, Mar 25 2012 

Saturdays are so very sweet. It is the only day where I do absolutely no work. While I love what I do, I look forward to one day each week of no work email, therapy planning, or IEP writing. Taking one day for myself is my way to relax, recharge, and renew myself so as to better tackle the coming week.

This Saturday started with me sleeping in and then enjoying coffee in my pajamas. Afterwards I went to my salon and got my eyebrows waxed. I may be wierd but I look forward to this everytime. The rest of my errands included going to a bakery to get these:

Returning a shirt to The Limited (yay for $26 credit).

Going to Whole Foods for a few things

Heading to City Girl Farm Coffee for a soy latte. I had a living social deal and went there 2 days in a row

Came home, took a power nap, caught up on Hulu shows, NCIS episodes on DVD, watched the Louisville game and then went to a new restaurant-Simply Thai.

On Saint Patrick’s Day I participated in a 10k. I made my goal of running 4.0 miles! Now the 10 Miler is just over a week away.

Bluegrass Burgers: local bison burger with Gouda cheese and sweet potato fries

City Girl Farm Coffee: soy latte

Bussman’s bakery: pastries

Lynn’s Paradise Cafe: mimosa (labeled on the menu as a gigantic mimosa!) and a local grass-fed burger with bacon and cheese along with sweet potato fries. Yes, I had burgers and sweet potatoes twice this week.

Queen of Sheba: vegetarian combo- injera, salad, variety of lentils, cabbage, and collard greens

Buffalo Wild Wings: jalapeno poppers and Bahama mama drink

New and old favorites Sunday, Mar 11 2012 

After I ran a 5K , my fellow runner friends and I went to a new to me restaurant called The Cafe. It is located on Brent Street and is delicious. While I did not tale pictures of my choices I think the title will be enough alone to make mouths water: Sweet Potato Cinnamon Roll and Pimento Cheese Pizza !

Back in the Groove Sunday, Mar 11 2012 

I have been getting back in the groove of going to the gym and it feels oh so good. I had been “absent” for a while. I am up to being able to run/jog for 1.70 miles without stopping. Granted right now I am only at a 12:00 minute pace. I decided to choose endurance over speed.

Food and a 5K Sunday, Mar 11 2012 

I have a lot to catch up on. Despite always trying to be regular with my posts I realize that right now summary posts work just fine.

So how about some food?
